It’s officially been four weeks of diaper changes, snuggles and bonding with baby Ellie! Today I wanted to share the newborn items we have personally and honestly used the most and why we like them. I only ever recommend what I actually use on my blog, as always!
Boppy Newborn Lounger

Hands down one of the best newborn loungers and so cheap! We use this multiple times a day to prop up Ellie after I feed her because she spits up a lot. It’s washable too.
Baby Bjorn Bouncer

Ellie loves this simple bouncer! I just tap it with my foot and it instantly calms her. Its lightweight and easily folds down. This is a great bouncer for newborns because it doesn’t overstimulate them like some of the others.
Uppababy Infant Car Seat & Stroller

While we’ve only used the car seat a few times, this one is easy to get in and out of the car and strap her in. It’s one of the highest rated, safe infant car seats and easily straps into the cruz or vista stroller.

We have the Cruz stroller in Loic white/silver and the car seat is the Bryce in white/grey marl. We also got the bassinet and have used it for walks around the neighborhood already.
Happiest Baby Snoo Bassinet

We decided to rent the Snoo Bassinet vs buying it (it’s $118/month vs $1,295 to buy). Honestly we’ve liked it so far and Ellie has been sleeping 3-4 hour stretches which for a newborn is crazy. At night I still wake to feed and change her every 2-3 hours but we’ve been getting 6 hours of sleep a night which is amazing! She likes the rocking motion and you can adjust the settings how you want them. We like how it keeps her on her back which gives us peace of mind even though she’s in our room right by us.
You can also get their swaddle sacks without getting the Snoo here:
4Moms Mamaroo Swing

This swing is one of the best ways to calm Ellie if she’s fussy and has been fed and changed. It has multiple settings and controls for sound and various swinging motions. A little pricey but so far worth it.
Keababies Organic Burp Cloths

You can find these scattered all over our house currently! These are super absorbent and thick to quickly catch spit up. I got two packs and we go through them quickly even with doing daily laundry.
Wyze Cam

This little security camera we installed as a baby cam on the wall right above the bassinet. It has an app and pairs with Alexa so we have it synced with our Echo Shows throughout the house. It’s simple, easy to use and hasn’t had any errors! Plus our parents are able to drop in and see the baby whenever they want.
Sleep ‘N Play Onesies

While cute matching outfits are adorable at this stage, you’re going to want plenty of onesies that zip and button for naps, daytime play and the evenings. We’ve used these exact Carter’s button up ones and these Gerber zip up ones which make middle of the night changes easy.
Slipper Booties

These are the only booties that fit her the first month without falling off. They wrap around and velcro so they actually stay on!
Haakaa Silicone Breast Pump
A must for breastfeeding mamas! While you nurse on one side, suction this manual cup on the other to collect all the let down. I’ve been able to build up a starter freezer supply and I haven’t even had to use my electric pump yet!
