One of my favorite trends this year is the bright, bold and beautiful kimono sleeve. This look can be worn in various ways, whether it’s a pop of color, a floral pattern or an incorporation of lace. Today, I’ll show you one casual way and one dressy way to add this look to your wardrobe.
Dress it Up
If you’re feeling bold, add a kimono top, dress or cardigan for a fun outfit. I love this pink, floral embroidered wrap top from Glamorous.
I got the silky top from ASOS and it was the perfect weight to wear out on my recent trip to St. Kitts. To finish the look, I added my Gucci Marmont purse and Tommy Hilfiger wedges, which both have black and gold accents. The skirt is from Altar’d State and is a creamy tone with a red layer underneath, which works with the red embroidery on the Kimono.
Think outside of the box and try kimono sleeve dresses, long lined shirts, rompers, and other pieces. Missguided has several kimono sleeve pieces and they are currently having a sale for 50% OFF sitewide with code GOBABE.

Keep it Casual
Another easy way to incorporate the kimono trend is pairing a top or flowy cardigan with distressed denim. This look is more laid back, yet still pulls off the trend in a more comfortable way.
These high waist, stretch ankle jeans from Express have a cute frayed hem at the bottom and instantly add edge to any look. You could pair this with mules or ankle boots during the Spring, or go for wedges in the Summer.
In both of these looks, I’m wearing my favorite matte lipstick; Tarteist Lip Paint by Tarte Cosmetics. It dries quickly and is perfect for applying with little time to get ready. I’m wearing the color “Extra.” So there you have it! Add one of these pieces into your Spring or Summer looks and you’ll surely turn heads.
