Spring Fashion Trends, Statement Essentials

This year’s Spring outfits are all about bold statement pieces. I’ve compiled a list of of the season’s hottest items, from “bright and bold” to the “classic and simple.”  Here are some of the best trends that can be easily pulled off. Choose a style and add one of these looks to your 2018 Spring wardrobe!

Statement Denim

Statement Jeans and statement sleeves are definitely on the “It List” for this season. I love the embroidered details and frayed hem on these jeans from Express. I paired them with my black ankle boots since it’s still cold here in Ohio.

Statement Sleeves

This top from Forever 21 is a perfect statement sleeve that doesn’t overpower the outfit. I also like pairing the jeans with my white slip-on mules, which work well when the weather starts to warm up.

Trench Coat

This Michael Kors trench is the staple of my spring wardrobe. The color goes with any outfit and shields me from rainy days. I like to pair most of my outfits with my Gucci Marmont bag as well, since the black color and gold accents go with just about anything.

This time of the year, I like to start incorporating bright colors into my outfits. The off-the-shoulder floral pink top is from White House Black Market.

Twist-back Sweater

One of my favorite trends right now is this twist-back “knot” sweater look. It’s so cozy and a great style for those chilly spring days. Until it gets warmer, this is one of my favorite tops.

This specific sweater is from the Windsor Store for $33, but there are several brands that carry this style.

Denim on Denim

I love that denim jackets are in style right now. This laid back vibe works well for your everyday wardrobe. I also like the leather “biker” jackets, which make your style a little edgier. I like pairing them with these distressed denim jeans from Express.

Borg Jacket & Distressed Denim

This borg bomber jacket from Missguided is so warm and I love how it zips up so you can wear it closed or open. My Steve Madden shoes and stretch Express jeans complete this comfortable outfit.

Accessories; Gold and Pops of Color

The easiest way to dress up a casual look is by adding stand out accessories such as the Gucci belt with Double G Buckle, these Steve Madden faux-fur mules (extremely similar to the Gucci mules), and this Gucci inspired purse.

I got this purse on Amazon and it’s a great duplicate compared to the real purse which is $3,200.

It also comes with the red, white and blue extension strap and the hardware isn’t cheap looking.  While I love my black Gucci Marmont bag, I don’t like to always break the bank for handbags. I was so excited to find this dupe and get the look for less!

Casual Graphics & Slip-On Mules

This graphic sweatshirt from Vici is super soft and comfortable for running errands or keeping it casual. I paired it with skinny jeans and white slip-on mules, perfect for running out the door in a hurry.

Kimono Wrap

Kimono wraps and sleeves are taking over this season, with prints from bold to basic, and colorful floral designs. Wear one loosely as a cardigan or tied around the waist. There are many variations such as long-lined, short or kimono sleeve dresses.

I got this bright one from ASOS and love it together with my ripped jeans from Express.

Tassel Earrings

A fun trend for Spring and Summer is incorporating Tassel Drop Earrings into your look.

There are so many styles and colors that can work for any skin tone or mix with any look. I personally like them more if they pop against your skin tone rather than blend in, so I chose these white ones from Missguided. They are currently sold out, but I found another pair that are practically the same from Nordstrom.

Marble Accents

I’m in love with the recent trend of marble printed clothing, decor and accessories. Adding one piece to your closet, or home can instantly shake things up.

I got this travel mug from Missguided a few weeks ago. It’s sold out now, but available at justmustard.com for $14. There are also several reasonably priced ones on Amazon.

The table beneath it is my new desk from HomeGoods. I’m in love with these marble print leggings from Missguided also. Here’s some more marble inspiration for you;
